Is Failure the End?

Is Failure the End?

Have you ever wrestled with why not? Why did God not heal the person you prayed for? Why didn’t your friend get healed after you prayed your best prayer? If God wants to heal the sick and He wants to use us, then why didn’t it happen as you believed? And then how do we keep praying and believing after failure? These are big questions! This Sunday, let’s face them head on! Let’s continue on our journey toward lives and a church that is full of fruit and full of God’s miraculous story.

More Than Words

How many of us know a friend, co-worker, or family member that is fighting some kind of physical pain or sickness? Don’t you wish you could offer more than good advice and empathy? Jesus set His disciples on a course to do the impossible: to see captives set free, blind eyes open and gates of pain swing off the hinge! He sent the church out, just like the Father sent Him out- to go do what He did on this earth. This week, we hold tight to some guiding principles that Jesus taught His friends: it’s all about our authority! We are going to learn how to face the impossible around us and pray in an effective and powerful way.

Remember When?

This week we launch a new series on the gift of healing! Molly will share some guiding principles and hands-on application of Jesus’ intentions for healing as a part of our life. God has done amazing things throughout history and promises that the best is yet to come. In fact, Jesus set up this expectation for us in John 14:12:
"Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” Let’s grow in these greater things together in this next series!

Spiritual Gifts: Power Tools

Power Tools: Understanding the Nuts and Bolts of the "Power Gifts"

Have you ever wondered why some of the spiritual gifts, like prophecy, and tongues and miracles seem to get special attention in certain churches? Are they "special" gifts reserved for only a few super spiritual christians? How do we use these gifts in a way that honors God and people?

We will be answering these questions and more in this episode as Kevin unpacks the "power tools" found in 1 Corinthians 12.

Uh-Oh, The Power's Out: Turning the Power Back on in the Church

There's nothing more frustrating than having a job to do, and not having the power to get it done. (Remember the battery dying in your car, your remote control, your cordless drill, etc...) The church has a job to do, a glorious job that requires great power, but where has all the power gone? In this episode, Kevin explores the question of how we can regain the power we need to be the church we were created to be.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit : Part Two

We have been created to live beyond our natural abilities and skills! We were designed for a filling. This week we tackle part two on the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

We will pick up where Kevin left off last week { check out part one on our resources page } and dig into the Scriptures together. We will discover God's intentions for us as a people filled with His Spirit. We will answer burning questions like: What can I expect to happen when I am filled with the Holy Spirit? Who can be filled? What if nothing happens when I pray for the baptism of the Holy Spirit? How can I be filled with power to live out this life that God gave?

Baptism of The Holy Spirit : Part One

Baptism of The Holy Spirit : Part One

The baptism of the Holy Spirit: What is it? Where is it in the bible? Is it just for a few super-christians? Will it make me...weird? If it's such a good thing, why don't more churches embrace it? Questions abound regarding the baptism of the Holy Spirit. In this episode, Kevin talks about what the bible says about the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and why Jesus said, "You want this, church!"
