Why did God adopt us as sons and daughters into a family? Was your family like mine where there was a whole lot of fighting over dishes, gas money and the last ice cream sandwich? But yet, God’s good plan for humanity involved family life… brothers and sisters growing up together with the Father! In this episode we look at how to live our best lives with each other in family!
How do you see the church? Surprisingly, the answer to that question will very likely either limit or unleash your experience of church. More so, the answer to that question will also determine the impact that the church has on the world, regardless of God’s intentions for us as a church! So, there's a lot riding on the answer to the question, "What is the church?" In this episode, Kevin continues to dig into the Word to help us reclaim our God-ordained purpose as a church family.

Jesus healed more than broken bodies, He came to lift off the heaviness of this life! So many times we carry around words and offenses from our past, without realizing they are keeping us from the full and satisfied life the Father intended. Have you ever made an excuse for your anger or grumpiness or negativity? Ever notice how easy it is to do things just like our parents (even though we swore we would NEVER!)? Have a few patterns or habits you really want to shake? In this episode, we are going to bust open some of our old ways with the power of forgiveness and truth!
Have you ever wrestled with why not? Why did God not heal the person you prayed for? Why didn’t your friend get healed after you prayed your best prayer? If God wants to heal the sick and He wants to use us, then why didn’t it happen as you believed? And then how do we keep praying and believing after failure? These are big questions! This Sunday, let’s face them head on! Let’s continue on our journey toward lives and a church that is full of fruit and full of God’s miraculous story.
How many of us know a friend, co-worker, or family member that is fighting some kind of physical pain or sickness? Don’t you wish you could offer more than good advice and empathy? Jesus set His disciples on a course to do the impossible: to see captives set free, blind eyes open and gates of pain swing off the hinge! He sent the church out, just like the Father sent Him out- to go do what He did on this earth. This week, we hold tight to some guiding principles that Jesus taught His friends: it’s all about our authority! We are going to learn how to face the impossible around us and pray in an effective and powerful way.
This week we launch a new series on the gift of healing! Molly will share some guiding principles and hands-on application of Jesus’ intentions for healing as a part of our life. God has done amazing things throughout history and promises that the best is yet to come. In fact, Jesus set up this expectation for us in John 14:12:
"Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” Let’s grow in these greater things together in this next series!
Power Tools: Understanding the Nuts and Bolts of the "Power Gifts"
Have you ever wondered why some of the spiritual gifts, like prophecy, and tongues and miracles seem to get special attention in certain churches? Are they "special" gifts reserved for only a few super spiritual christians? How do we use these gifts in a way that honors God and people?
We will be answering these questions and more in this episode as Kevin unpacks the "power tools" found in 1 Corinthians 12.
